My January Display

Happy New Year 2015!
Three weeks late, but still sincerely wishing it. Holidays and free time brought about some new favorites of mine that I thought looked quite nice up on my table. 

Calendar
The centerpiece of the photo! I bought this one sometime mid-December; I don't think I'll ever get tired of looking at it everyday. Though I'll be sad to lose my lovely January card, there are some more amazing ones coming up...to be shown here, hopefully.

Nightlight
I would have to say that this really is the next best thing to a firefly jar. I must admit that this was unoriginal, so credits to Youtube, Pintrest, and Tumblr respectively. I got ahold of some Firefly Lights (mine from Urban Outfitters) and a small mason jar from the cupboard. I then shoved the string of dainty lights into the jar, purposefully making sure that it looked a bit messy, and taped the connecting wire attached to the plug to the backside of the jar, just to keep the front looking neat and clean. It has a magical glow, which is surprising bright.

Greenery&Floral Decor
Pictured above I have a long-lasting cactus in a bowl vase, and a short-lived floral bunch purchased form Whole Foods. I definitely recommend their selection as they have a wide range of flowers for reasonable prices, even in these cold winter months. The cactus takes little attention, or so it seems, because it's kept up nicely for the past 6 months. It's nice to have some natural feeling to the table top.

As for my new camera, I think I will get to that later, it being a piece of complex machinery that takes a handful of an explanation. So therefore, keep an eye out for upcoming information (a possible review?) about that.
