I went home and had an idea for a pretty, decorative container or vase, depending how it's used. I thought it came out looking pretty good, so here's how you can make your own...

You'll need: A glass bottle, some pretty craft tape (I got mine at Michael's), ribbon, a pair of scissors, and double sided tape.
If your bottle has a sticker or label on it, peel it off. If it leaves a sticky residue behind (unfortunately mine did), scrub it off under some warm water. Also be sure to thoroughly wash out the inside so you won't attract any animal friends.
After you've cleaned your bottle, choose a few craft tapes that go well together and try as hard as you can to wrap them around evenly. I found this quite tricky myself, especially around the neck where the surface was slightly slanted. Once you've got one down, try lining the rest of the tapes up with the first one. Don't forget to leave a space for your ribbon.
Next, take the ribbon and use it to tie a messy bow around the bottle, just so that you can estimate the length. Cut off a bit more than you think you'll need, because you can always trim the excess. Re-tie the bow, neatly this time, and be sure that the knot is tight so that it won't come loose later. This is optional, but I trimmed the ends at a bit of an angle to make it look nice and neat.
If you think you've tied your bow tight enough, then you can skip this step. However, I noticed that my bow was slipping off in every direction and wasn't too secure since I had decided to tie it on the neck of the bottle. Just slip off the bow and place tiny strips of double sided tape where it seems to come loose. Finally, put the bow over the taped spots and press it firmly to stay in place.
You're done! I'm using mine to hold my toothbrush, but you can also use your bottle as a flower vase, a pencil jar, or anything else you can think of.
Hope you're having a wonderful day! See you later! ☼
